Summit School Services Promotes Charli Sanders to Vice President of Asset Management, Parts and Warranty
September 24, 2026
Warrenville, IL – Summit School Services is pleased to announce the promotion of Charli Sanders from Director of Parts and Warranty to Vice President (VP) of Asset Management, Parts and Warranty, recognizing her exceptional leadership, operational expertise, and significant contributions to the organization and student transportation since joining in 2021 as a Regional Maintenance Manager.
Throughout her tenure with Summit, this promotion marks just one of many notable achievements for Charli. Within her first two years, she was promoted to Director of Parts and Supply Chain Data and then, in 2024, transitioned into an expanded role overseeing the parts and warranty division across North America.
Charli’s upward climb to her newest role as VP of Asset Management, Parts and Warranty, is a testament to her ability to optimize operations, deliver strategic and financial impact, and achieve numerous successes throughout her career at Summit. These accomplishments include developing integral purchasing functions and databases that support key operational processes, creating and managing an efficient parts catalog, and implementing new parts and warranty operating standards that have resulted in significant financial savings for the company while also supporting the cultivation of even safer, more effective fleets to better serve our district partners, student riders, and their families.
“My accomplishments are not a direct result of just my own drive, but of a leadership team that has been open-minded to ideas and ready to lend experience to help visualize them, and a service-minded team with a passion to get things done executing the plan,” said Charli Sanders, Vice President of Asset Management, Parts and Warranty. “In this new role, my goal is very much the same; we will streamline many of the Asset Management processes by bringing together the knowledge and talents of our leadership across all departments to ensure smart, effective fleet lifecycle decisions are made that best support not only growth but most importantly, the safety of the students and communities we serve. Additionally, our advanced use of technology will play a key role in bringing together the complex pieces of the puzzle for us, and I am excited to see what we can do with it.”
In addition to earning the appreciation of Summit’s leadership and colleagues, Charli’s achievements have also not gone unnoticed by the student transportation industry. In March of this year, Charli was recognized among a select group of industry leaders as a School Bus Fleet’s Trailblazer Award recipient for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and contributions to the industry.
“Charli has shown great potential and a strong commitment to operational excellence since the start of her career with Summit. Over the last few years, I have witnessed firsthand the talent Charli has in strengthening complex operational functions and how she has successfully conquered every new challenge that has been handed to her. This is why she was the perfect choice for this new role,” said Wayne Skinner, Senior Vice President of Fleet, Maintenance, & Procurement, Summit School Services.
“Further, Charli possesses an innate sensibility and aptitude for problem solving. She has transformed essential processes and systems, resulting in significant operational and financial improvements across our organization, which in turn has also led to significant operational enhancements for our customers. To put it simply, Charli is a natural leader with the vision and discipline to build lasting solutions, analyze the details that matter, and consistently improve every process she touches. I look forward to seeing the positive impacts Charli’s leadership will continue to bring in her expanded role.”
