Every yellow bus and van driver we hire receives a DOT physical plus a third-party review by a licensed healthcare provider. A practice above and beyond the industry standard. When it comes to safety, we will not compromise in our ability to meet state and federal requirements. We want the safest drivers on the road. Continuous license monitoring flags issues early. Our driver monitoring technology on the fleet identifies coaching opportunities in real time so safety teams can intervene before patterns become incidents.
Safety that travels with each student
Onboard cameras (one to four per bus) provide behavioral documentation and accountability. Electronic end-of-route child checks reduce the possibility of a missed walkthrough. Catalyst provides families with near-real-time visibility into bus locations and arrival estimates, so parents know where their child is without needing to call dispatch.
Safety embedded in operational excellence
Drivers complete electronic vehicle inspections before every shift and have real, exercised authority to pull a bus from service for any reason. Cross-functional safety committees from 100+ locations review incidents, run root-cause analyses and implement documented corrective actions. Emergency response procedures are established and tested at every location.
