Monroe School Transportation began providing “yellow bus” service in 1986. Ten years later, Monroe was acquired by DeCarolis Truck Rental. DeCarolis was founded in 1938 and was the largest privately owned truck rental leasing company in upstate New York. In 2005 Monroe added luxury white coach buses to its fleet, and in 2017 Monroe became a part of Summit School Services'. formerly National Express, group of transportation companies.
